The RTITB Counterbalance Lift Truck (often referred to as a forklift) operator training course will refresh your skills to operate the lift truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection, and recall and explain the causes of lift truck and load instability.

Our RTITB Forklift Training Course Counterbalance Refresher is available for those operators with previous training, who wish to renew their certification to use counterbalance forklift truck. The RTITB Counterbalance Refresher Course will include theory instruction and assessment followed by practical operator training and assessment which will comply with the standard laid down in accordance with the HSE code of practice L117.

Upon completion of the course all operators will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years and be fully accredited to operate a Counterbalance Lift truck of up to 5 Tonnes in a workplace with written authorisation.

• Pallet handling; picking up, setting down, transporting
• Stacking and de-stacking loads at different heights (Various methods)
• Vehicle loading & un-loading procedures
• Daily maintenance checks
• Satisfactory completion of Practical and Theory based assessment
